Crew Positions Available: Email if interested: festival@tuifarmfolk.co.nz
One person is required to help Eva on the registrations desk. The desk is manned (or womaned as the case may be) from about 9:30am til about 5:00-6:00pm(ish) and Eva will work with you to create a schedule where this job is shared between the two of you. As all tickets are pre-sold, once everyone has checked in then the desk is officially closed and this usually happens by around 5:00pm on the 2nd day. Carol Rose usually helps out too so it's not too arduous. Positions under offer - check back later to see if they are available Two required. We have 12 portaloos, 1 shower & 2 handbasins that require cleaning twice daily (10am-ish and 4pm-ish). Each full clean takes one hour so two people can share the job (1/2 hr twice daily) or one take the morning and one take the afternoon (1 hr once daily). On day two of the festival, the portaloo man comes and empties & cleans them, so we only need you once on that day. The only condition is that you must agree to arrive on the 31st December and not leave until 4th January. That's a total of 4 hours work for a ticket of $85.00. That's a pretty good hourly rate!!
Position under offer - check back later to see if it is still available One person required. We don't have any rubbish bins as such, as we ask festival goers to take care of their own rubbish. We do, however, have two food scrap stations where we have 2 or 3 buckets for food scraps. The rubbish monitor's job is to pick up the buckets twice daily (on the quad or ute) and empty them into the compost bins, returning them to their original stations. This job usually only takes about 15 - 20 minutes each time so, once again, this is a great hourly rate.
Position under offer - check back later to see if it is still available One person is required to help our stage manager to ensure that all events/concerts etc get underway on time and are properly compeered (we'll provide a list of people for compeering). This includes all events scheduled for the main marquee, except workshops & choir. Jeanette Ware is our stage manager and you will work with her to create a schedule where this job is shared between the two of you.
Position under offer - check back later to see if it is still available One early morning riser person is required to clean & light the coal range every morning. It is the "Keepers" job to ensure that the coal range runs continuosly throughout the festival so that there is enough hot water to "cleanse" the bodies of all festival attendees (in the shower). The "Keeper" needs to be on deck in the kitchen by approximately 6am to clean out the coal range and to set & light it. Throughout the day, he/she needs to monitor the fire to ensure it is still going. Lots of people do this throughout the day but the ultimate responsibility lies with the "Keeper".
